Ok i hope someone can help me out with this. I have a 01 z28, with a 6spd. mods are a slp lid, k&n, diablosport, and edelbrock victor headers with offroad y and 3 1/2 exhaust all the way back. i also put a set of qtec cutouts right after the headers before the y pipe. i have a pair of autometer a/f gauges one for each bank, now the problem is the o2 sensors only seem to last all of 5 days. they work good for the first couple days then they jump around alot for a couple days then not work at all, then i get a multiple cylinder misfire trouble code and the engine runs like crap. I do not have the rear o2 sensors edited out of the computer, could that be the problem or something else??????? ANY advice would be great! :hitit:

youre gonna need to delete out the rear 02s. a dyno tune would be a good thing to get done.

ok i'm getting it dyno tuned right away and will have the rear o2's deleted. hopefully that'll work. I put the cutouts in because it will be a street/strip car, and they are great fun. Also just kinda wondering if those patriot performance cylinder heads are as good as they say or is there a better alternative? Thanks again.

I've had Patriots on my Goat now for over a year with no problems...I know they had some QC issues in the past.....I've had nothing but good from Patriot....

I imagine that because of the location of the cut outs, you are having issues with the O2's because the temp is changing so rapidly. Those things are sensative. When your running, they are around 8 to 900 degrees, then you shut down, cold air comes in through the cut out and basically super cools the sensors. anything that sensative that cools that fast is gonna break, I would assume. I would relocate the cut outs.
