Just got my car back cause the transmission went out!!! they put in a 9 clutch transmission with a shift kit......works great except........now when i really get on it and the rpm's get up there it sits at red line for a while until i let off the gas and get on it again then it shifts fine.......why would them putting in a new clutch pack and shift kit affect where my shift points are ......isn't that the computers job and how do i fix it............

Even when you let it in OD ? Everytime I mod anything, I'm reprogramming my shift points... I do know that my programming only works in OD though.

YES you need a tune--with shift kit--you should delete all of your torque management and set all your shift times in every gear to "0" for adaptive learning---You are skipping over the shift points and heading toward the "in gear "rev limiter---thats why you are at the red line---part thottle shift points need to be re calibrated--line pressures should be set back to stock--All thses are pretty common procedures for instllation of a shift kit--

they should know what to do if they are good tuners---all these things are tables in your computer--that can only be changed with a full blown tuner and not a handheld unit-I could give you the table #'s and a brief description
of each
