4th gear. it puts you will into the triple digits for speed and pulls away like your woman does, after calling her by the wrong name, while being balls deep in her...

I always like 3rd with 4.10 gears. Pulls like a freight train.

3rd on the freeway is my all time favorite that feeling you get as you pull on turbo cars when they think just because they are turbo your v-8 cant hang at top end.

2nd. i can cruise the road and be ok going 40 (pushing it though) and if an unsuspecting citizen feels the need to egg on the z, i simply mash the gas to 6 grand and go about my day......

after owning a 6 speed acura rsx-s your RIGHT i appreciate OUR 6th gear much more now.......that fukin car was around 3500 at 80..rediculous.....and i only got mid-high 20s mpg out of it because of how 6th was geared......if it had been 1000 lower i would have NO passing power without shifting.....BUT i WOULD get 35mpg.....idiots geared that car

i like third as well because its the start of the HIGHWAY MONSTER phase
but 6th gear is sweet, especially when you're at like 1900 rpms and you can still get a decent acceleration to 100 like nothing

I like 2nd gear in My Trans Ams, and 3rd gear in My Cobra, Although to be fair my Cobra pulls in 3rd gear, just like My TA's did in 2nd.
My least favorite gear is 6th gear, even in the Cobra with a .67:1 (or .63:1, I cant remeber) ratio, it barley moves when floored. And it really sucked in the TA's .50:1 6th gear ratio.
I think life is to short to worry about gas mileage. I need to feel the power when I hit it.

High Gear isnt usually a racing gear for me, its just a crusin gear so i like the .50 ratio in my car, and if im in high gear and some1 messes with me, i usually downshift

I like my SS because when punks try to mess with it they find out my personal definition of SS from 40-65. It means 6th to 2nd! I love rolling at about 60 and dropping it back down to 2nd. That's my jaw dropper gear!
2nd gear is my most fav
next is 1st because I like when street bikes ride next to me and start that underestimating stuff and revving and hitting wheelies while we're going like 35... I just go from 5th down to 1st and I roast the tires like nobody's business and look them in the face and laugh:chuckles:
2nd definitely does it for me though

Even though I have an auto, I'd have to say 1st gear, because with my TPI, thats the only gear I get worthwhile acceleration from.

3rd gear is my favorite. There are a lot of cars out on the roads these days that are relatively quick in first and second gear however, I feel like third gear in my SS pulls just about as hard (while the other cars really start to drop off)! Thank you 3.90's!!

The new Mercedes has an 8 speed auto tranny, they say it just stays at the correct rpm range all the time, and when it shifts you can hardly tell. Almost like one long gear at any speed. I wonder what the future will bring, maybe a Trans Am with a 10 speed manual tranny? That would be cool. It be like driving an 18 wheeler with all the shifting. Of corse then you can put lower rear end gears in vehicles. Like some 642:1 rear end gears would be cool. You could probally still go 250 mph in 9th gear at 4000 rpms. If you had the horsepower and the aerodynamics were right. And they changed the speed limits, Ha Ha Ha.

Its all just a slow switch over to AI driving. Pretty soon, computers will drive the car for you. Like in Demolition Man. As long as they still have a self drive option, Im ok with it. One concern is, I read that soon there will be permant speed maximums set from the factory. As in, you cant remove them. People are not going to be able to go past 80 mph ever, unless its a Police or government issue vehicle. Also they plan to have a memory of how you drive and how fast you go, that a cop or any authority figure can access. Incuding your insurance company, this will effect your premiums.
And from what I read, it will also record where you have been, GPS will tell the cops when and where you were, all they have to do is get a warrant and they can access your cars computer records, (even from the police station, so your car will always be "On line"). If you are a suspect in a crime, and you used a car, you are screwed.
:Patriot: Bye Bye freedom.

hello classic cars lol.
although, if cops have the ability to delete the governor, it will be absolutely impossible to keep that info out of the public. also, once the first pierson figures out how to override all that computer info (which will happen), EVERYONE finds out.
goodbye "government issued freedom"... hello "self obtained freedom"
