hey guys...i've got a pewter 99z, and i want to do something with the headlights. i've seen a couple guys on here with dark cars that have painted the insides of the headlights black (i think...maybe they bought them that way?) does anybody have a pewter or silver car with the same thing done? what iw as thinking though was, instead of painting the insides black....i want to paint them the same color as the car. if i do paint the headlights, i'm going to paint the grille or get like a rksport one or something and paint that either body color or black and then do something with the turn signals too...any thoughts/ideas/pictures?

If you paint them the same color as the car, it makes the front end look kind of washed out in my opinion. At least if they are chrome or black, they will stand out more. I painted mine black and added a black SLP grille up front to make it look better.

Samething here as well... Painting them black is the ONLY way to go in my opinion. Hell I bought blackouts and took em back b/c i like my painted headlight better.

Ditto! I put the blackouts in the garage after I did that mod :)

thanks for the pics...i'm 99% sure i'm going to paint them black, but i'm still kickin around the pewter...i'll have a while time to think about it since i'm at school and can't do too much until probably thanksgiving, unless it's put away till winter. thanks again..and if anyone runs across some pictures like what i'm thinking of, i'd appreciate it if you could post a link..by the way, nice cars :)

And how did you paint them? Any kind of paint? and how hard was it to paint them? :think:
