I took the car on the highway yesterday at it seems like the car hits a flat spot after 70 u have to get on it to accelerate.I have a 1998 ls1 automatic with 273 gears and no traction control.I was wondering if anybody knew why this is happening, thank you.

How far above 70? Maybe it's just the gears - mine originally came with 2.73's and had to punch it too above 70, but it would downshift and go. Been so long ago can't remember exactly. At 70 you're only at about 1750 RPM.

The automatics have that dead spot. Put a stall convertor in there, and you won't have that dead spot anymore :)
