My Check Engine Light has come on. My oil pressure, temperature and electrical gauges all look ok. I have also filled my tank with premium gas and have tightened the gas cap. However, the gas cap is not attached to the car by the strap any more. Has anyone had a similar problem.

i've had a similar problem and it turned out to be my air pump

the second time i threw a code for maf sensor and skip shift solenoid, and it was a short in a wire

YOURE BEST BET IS TO GO TO AUTOZONE AND GE IT SCANNED AND THE CODE WILL TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT.

scan it and post what it says..probably a p0420 or a p0430 code

mine came on it was the air pump, had the dealer re-set it and never came back on been about 5 months now

2 of my friends had the same prob. and like stated above it was the air pump. I had the prob. as well but I took my cats off but my Comp. fixed it

Ours is the annoying P1416 (air check valve voltage), and now P0140 and P0160 (removed the rear cats for LT/ORY installation)... ;)

Funny thing is the Cats are now throwing codes but the check valve is fine...

It will all be tuned out anyway. :D
