I know I am going to get some kind of head cam package in the near future. I am looking for something very streetable, with some lope. The car is going to be my daily driver for 5+ years, and want it to last. I only want around 400 rwhp but very durable. Also, gas is a major issue as you might know.

I was really looking at the hot cam package. How does everyone feel about that setup? What heads would work pretty good with it?

Any suggestions or help will be very appriciated. Thanks.
Not trying to suck all the info out of people, but if you could give me a rough estimiate of how much (parts+labor)I will spend. thanks.

I had the Hot Cam with my stock heads and it sounds mean, but only made around 375rwhp and 383rwtq
I would do a nice set of 5.3L heads to raise compression and with LS6 vavles(stock size but the LS6 are hollow on the intake and sodium filed on the exaust, lighter vavle train will rev faster)because this cam (219/228 .525/.525 112LSA) is not to big I think it will flow well together, 1.85 rockers to raise the lift from .525/.525 to .571/.571. thats what I was going to do till I got a bigger cam

Cheapest and most reliable way I know to get 400 out of your N/A LS1 motor...
