Does anyone have an opinion on which MAS is better between the SLP and Granatelli?

I've had a Granatelli on my car for the past year and was very pleased with however I have taken it off and will be selling it since I'm doing some work this winter and will be changing a lot of stuff around. If you're interested hit me up!

>>get neither. the stocker flows well over 400 rwhp<<
I am running 469rwhp right now. From what I can tell I am being limited by the throttle body, exhaust and MAS. I ran a vacuum test under full throttle after the throttle body and it read 4". That tells me my intake (from air cleaner to the blower housing) is not flowing well enough since it should read zero.
I just bought a Nick Williams 90mm mass air and ported the blower housing to match.
My boost runs 6 at the bottom of the pull and 10 at the top. That indicates my exhaust is restricting me (its only 2 1/4 duals right now).
I am hoping to end up around 525 to 550rwhp once its all opened-up. I did not think the stock MAS can handle that much.

ive been told the stock flows plenty aswell unless your sporting lots of horsepower. Although before i knew that i bought the SLP, i couldnt see spending 400+ on a MAS when you could get one for 150! I havent had any problems with it. I suppose when i get up into the higher hp range ill be ready though.

Don't waste your money. GMMG uses the stock ones on cars up to 600 rwhp.

same story different post. The meter helps make power. If a stock meter is currently installed on your 550hp car. take is off and install a Granatelli or SLP and you WILL pick up more power. That fact that the stock meter moves enough air to support 400, 500 whatever you guys say does not prevent to Granatelli and SLP meter from making even more.
When I owed Paxton we made 650hp with the stock meter. SO WHAT If we had the GMS meter back then we could have (may have) made 680

I picked up a used Gran. MAF on this forum and I'm very pleased. I see a difference in the higher RPMs and don't have a crap load of MODS yet...

The stock MAF is alwasy OK to use but you will make more power with our meter. We even offer a meter specifically for your car 350112-NOS:drivin: :drivin:

Don't have any experience with the Granatelli (but they make good products) - I have the SLP 85mm MAF with the numbers in my sig below. New engine combo will put me close to the 500rwhp mark N/A and I will be keeping the SLP MAF.
