List your reasons why you think convertibles are better than coupes & tee-tops. Or, why you think they aren't. Personally I like the option of real privacy with the top up or letting it all hang out on a beautiful day or star & moon lit night with the top DOWN . Plus not having to worry about where to store those damn t-tops just in case it rains .

I dont like the look of a rag top up or down personally. I like how ttops keep the shape of the car and you still feel like ur in a cockpit. Altho it can be a paint in the ass taking them off and on. Also, I could see how a vert might be more fun

i find that t-tops create way more turbulence and noise compared to a convertible when both open.
Also, posting this on a convertible section might provide a slightly biased response.

well after driving both, i would have to say i just love the look of the ttop all the way to the spoiler, all though i do like the look of a vert with the top down i love driving a ttop. Although there are several things that can be done to a vert that would make it much better, maybe they can get it right if they bring it back.

vert wins... we can open and close the top while driving... t-top owners can't.

Convertables for sure or full hardtop,,,,one or the other,,,,T-tops suck big time. Has nothing to do with looks for me,,,,
I have a Vette with T-tops and absolutely cannot stand the damn things. You have to deal with taking them off,,,,no where to put them really, and if you have a trunk or rear hatch they just take up space,,,can't stop at the store and stack anything on top of them if you care at all,,,and if you leave them in the garage you have to be carefull not to scratch them, break them, and make sure you stick them in an area where family/friends won't be walking around. Then while your out driving you get caught in a pop up thunderstorm which is very common in Cincinnati:growl:
I vowed to never buy another t-top car and from then on it's been nothin but convertables for me,,,or a solid roof car.
Made it very hard for me to find an 02 SS convertable but I found one and parked it next to my 97 Z-28 convertable :bounce:

t-tops, they just look better imo

There is no way you can look at my SS vert and not say its beautiful with the top up or down. I'm not bragging, that's what I was thinking before I bought it. I used to see it your way but now that thought is long gone for me.

I want to have one of each! The vert so I can pleasure cruise in and the t-top car to drive every day and mod the hell out of! Lets face it they are both bad ass looking and I personally like the t-top a little more but I see way less verts so I would have to pick a vert!

I'm gonna say neither. I like my hardtop. : ) I don't like the look of the convertible top while its up, and T-tops seem like more trouble than they're worth. I have windows if I want some wind on me.

I have had a hardtop, T-Tops and now a Vert.

I will never go back ;)

Nothing like crusing the beach with the top down.

I've had ttops and vert too. Having bad ass muscle with the top down is just awesome. Ttops give almost the same sensation but verts, ....... man! All of my baddest cars from now on will be verts if its offered. Viper Hennessey with the top down... 0-100 in like 5sec with the top down:drool:

My hawk is a vert and looks good up or down, but I like it best when I put the tonneau cover on it.

Thats an interesting thought. I never really cared for the tonneau covers on these, being large and made of hard plastic you can't fold it up and keep it in the car. It takes up too much space for my liking.

Plus I run errands and park the car frequently and like to put the top up and lock the car. Taking the tonneau cover on and off is too much of a pain for me. It reminds me of the T-top cars, same issues really.

To be honest I have only had my tonneau covers for both verts out of the bags one time, and that was just to make sure they were there and in one piece. They sit on the shelf of my garage collecting dust.

I like both,, but when the top is up < I don't care for the firebirds look. But down it is very nice (but I like my spoiler much better.)

So ultimately I like them both, but I think I like the T-Top on this car the best.

I think he is talking about the after market tonneau cover like I have which I agree looks sweet but it definately is a pain in the ass taking it on and off so I just leave mine on all the time in the garage and only take it out when it is nice! Thats why I want a t-top car so I can drive it all the time except the winter of course!

When its in the mid 70s to 80s, I put the top down, above the top stays up & a/c is on. I have three covers, factory, factory painted to match car & a tonneau painted to match. I agree sometimes they are a pain in the ass.
