I was thinking off adding a blowe to my ls1... i was wondering if the cam i currently would be to much trouble..

224/224 581/581 on 112

Be honest is that to much lsa for a blower?

I think 115 is the lowest you are supposed to go. The LPE GT2-3 cam is an extremely popular blower cam, look at its specs.

blower cams have a wide lsa because overlap kills on a blower motor. Too much and you send the gas mix right out the exhaust. It will work but usually you don't want to go tighter than 114. That cam looks ok but if you're going to build a blower motor then consider a blower cam with reverse split duration or twin duration and lift about in that range.

You can run anything you want. But will it work well. Nope. I got away with a 114. But 115 or tighter is better. You won't bleed off boost.

It really depends on too many variables but there are basic guidelines that you should consider. Most are standard of any cam like what rpm range are you wanting to run, boost level, compression, engine size, etc. I just found a camaro running a 9:1 comp, a cam with lot of duration on a 112, a stout bottom end and running 17pounds of boost that made 850 hp. The choice is up to you, research a bit but most of your answers will come from professional builders that deal with forced applications. The cam you have will work but might not be as efficient as another say, with a wider lsa. Also, you don't need much more lift than that, especially with a tight lsa which increases overlap.
