on the way home from work tonight. Not really a big deal because it was just a 98 with headers was all I could tell. He left the scene. Just started to roll from a stoplight in 1st when he pulled up beside me. Barely got into 3rd. Then he proceded to tailgate me before splitting off. He didn't need to do that. There were 3 lanes. Ah well, he got a good look at my SS emblem and rear wing. GT's aren't even fun for me anymore. It's like a hassle. To prove or not to prove. That is my struggle. I fall for it everytime tho cuz I HATE MUSTANGS!

see here how it is when a gt races z28's, ss's and wut not.....99-04(we hope u miss a couple of gears...and anything before 99 we hope your motor blows hope...thats the only way we usually win unless we got that money to put in our cars.....thats y i said i am lookin into a ws6 plus they are so clean:hyper:

i like the way they sound and looks but they are slow that is why i got a 01 z now. had to sell the old 90 gt was tired of getting my ass handed to me by SUV

HAHA! I know the feeling! In my opinion, you can have one of the baddest sounding cars on the road is you drop $1,500.00 into a Mustang GT / 5.0 for cam, headers, h-pipe and 2 chamber Flowmasters! While it has a very impressive bark, many just don’t have much of a bite! Now the Terminator Cobras, that’s a completely different story!

Unfortunately, stock vs. stock a 5.0 or 4.6 Mustang GT isn’t much of a match for an LS1 (with the exception of the newer models…..they will at least compete).

Thanks. My neighbor has a 99-04 Cobra. Not sure what year. They all look alike to me. So, hopefully I'll be hunting bigger game soon when I get my parts on and tuned.

you should find out for sure. There is '99 &'01 which is close to a stock LS1. And then '03-'04 which are supercharged and badass and will rape a stock LS1. What are your mods?

Ya I know about the 03-04 Cobras. I really don't think he has one of those. I can't hear the whine of a SC when he drives buy. He likes to drive buy in first with his rpms high and goose it a little in front of my house. It's only a matter of time before we line'em up. No real mods installed to speak of yet. I got alot of stuff in the garage ready to go on. Torquer2 cam package, headers, pulley, ls6 intake, and ls2 timing chain.

Im glad no one puts cams in these 5.0s around if if thats the case. I highly doubt that just with those mods a 5.0 would be in the 12s.
