which tires?

im looking for a tire thats good for accel. and streetable. ive been looking at nittos and was thinking about 555r's, then went to their site and saw that they have 555rII the 01 and the neo gen. what tires would you recommend? i see a lot of people getting 15k out of the 555r is that possible with the other 3 also? if i get a dr in rear what should i get up front?

I would stick with those for the rear...the fronts...thats a different story

lots of people have the dr allround and even autox-ing the car that way.
get the same tire allround.
btw, several ppl w/ 555rII end up having the same 60' times as the ones with the dr.
after all, it's the same compound... just that the rII have an extra steel sidewall.

yeah.. ppl even race on turns with them... they work great and the car has grip for turning too.
give it a try... you won't regret.
another alternative is to go with the Nitto 555rII in the front... same grip, same pattern... only hick is that the rII aren't offered in all the sizes the dr is offered, such as 315/35-17

any one tried out the other tires listed? if they give the same amount of miles im probably going to go with those.
