I have saw that most places charge about 250-300 dollars to install. Then you have have a tune unless that is included. Hell for 800 dollars I'll come do it for you. I did mine myself and it took about 4 hours. But for what people want to install I can take a little of my time and wasn't hard to change.

man! i would do it myself to but i just moved into a new apartment and i dont have any tools anymore so your saying that i got a shitty quote ? or if it included the tune it would be a good price?

If that included a tune that wouldn't be bad but if that is just for install I would say go buy some tools ask a buddy for a shady spot and go to it.

When I did mine 2 weeks ago I just jacked it up all four corners and put on jack stands. No welder involved just basic had tools except for an ear on each side of the block that had to be ground off. It kept catching in the #3 exhaust port oin each header. Basic bolt on kit. Mine threw codes for egr air pump and o2. Since I did away with all of this. You will need o2 sims right away unless your are keeping it or tuning it right away.

$0, it is not a difficult install, you can try it yourself.

I need to move to Phily so I can start charging people $500 for something that takes 4-5 hours, I'd be rich!! :)

Same here. $300.

I heard that was worth it, so I paid out. Regret it??? I sure do.

Now, I don't even have those SLP headers anymore. Talk about wasting some money. The headers weren't worth it, neither was the install.

I had mine done by the local shop I dont remember exactly how much they charged for instilation but I think it was $200. I do know for a fact I paid $1700 for jet hot coated long tubes, coated ORY no cats, QTP electric cutout, full tune and its unlimited meaning they will tune my car infinitly for as long as I own my car, and that price included having everything installed. Id also like to add that I am very mechanicly inclined and I could have intalled it myself minus the tune but Im also very busy with work so time I had no spair time on my hands to do it.

Mine was for free too, get a buddy to help you out with a location or garage and have an extra 500 in your pockets. Once your done you will feel like you can do just about anything and you willl know you did it right.

if you get long tubes with an ORY do you have to have a tune? if so who does it and what will it do to my performance?

i paid someone $100, he did it in his driveway, the tune is mainly for your rear O2s and if you get an offroad pipe and to make sure you air/fuel ratio is correct

if you're paying for header install and hopefully dyno tune, $800 isn't bad, it's still kind of high...average dyno tune=$400-$500 in my experience. That's for the first time. Some times after your initial tune it only costs $75-$100 to re-tune
