Claybar is to be used at least twice at year, depending on where the car spend most of its time at environment wise.
Next time you wash your car, and is all nice and dry, get a platic baggie. Stick your hand in it as if it was a glove. Gently run it across your hood/paint, if you can feel the surface bumpy, and gritty, you'll need claybar to remove those embedded contaminants off your paint. normally, clay bar comes in different grades. You always want the finest gray which should be available at most local parts store. They also come with a clay lubricant, and this is important as you don't want to mar the surface.
Claybar will definitely make a huge impact in the way your paint looks after the final step. you'll need to rewash your car, polish swirls out, and apply your favorite wax or sealant when you're done :)
I wasn't a claybar believer. Now I can see why people talk a lot about it

Sure you can. I did my car, brothers and moms all with 1 bar. Just remember keep kneeding the clay bar section after section, and car after car. Keep folding it in so all the crap goes deep into the caly and you dont scratch the car.
