I can go plenty fast and use the stock latch.

I don't care for pins unless it is a full on race car.

+1

I went 150 mph several times, no trouble with the stock latch. Also, if you're not careful with the drilling, you might get a rust problem round the holes.

I'd say don't do hood pins unless you need them. I'm quite sad that I'm having to use them, but I'm going to try to sneak by with low profile lockers... If you really want pins, make good use of them and skin your hood so you can save some weight!

But without question, do a search and look for pictures of what you're doing, I can't say too many people like the look of a pinned f-bod...

Agreed. Just cause they look cool on honda's doesnt mean you need one :leghump:

yep, on a daily driver that would be pointless. what's wrong with the hood latch. also, if you lighten everything up, pin your hood and drive it every day, then anyone can open your hood when you're not around.

I think i might get them because on my 1989 Iroc the hood latch is broke some where so im going to put the pins on.

again, anyone can open your hood with those on. if you have anything in there worth stealing it'll be gone. batteries are a frequent item
