I plan on having a tune after Cam and TC install. So my question is do I need a shift kit? Cant the tuner increase line pressure in the tranny and make shifts firmer that way thuss making a shift kit useless? I dont want to buy something that I dont need. Thanks guys.

I think that the 4l60E shift frimness can be adjusted with a tuner, but with a shift kit, you can get REALLY firm shifts.

A tuner can increase the line pressure but its not a substitute for a shift kit. Do you have to do either, not really, just up to what you want out of the car.

You didn't mention it, so forgive me if you already know this, but you do NEED a tranny cooler. If you don't have a cooler on there, the increased heat the convertor generates will kill your 4l60E rather soon.
