well id say the lt1 is about 280 hp and the ls1 is going to be hitting 305 but since you have the ss its got ram air which is going to help you out to around 335?

the lt1 motor and the ls1 motor is underated. they do this for insuarnce purposes. they will only run them to like 4,700 rpm to 5,100 rpm on the dyno. but still have room to push. all in all i know the LT1 last a lot longer than ls1. and if tou mess something up on the ls1 block your screwed because its all aluminum. i would say a stock 95 Z28 6 speed has right at 300 hp and the LS1 motor has 310-315 on a Z28. SS LT1 has 330hp and a SS LS1 has 330. well its supposed to any way. i have seen a stock 2002 corvette dyno at 376 hp and 381lb of torque no bull crap. completelt stock motor and exhaust. dynoed before and after head and cams set up. i couldnt believe it. so i guess they might be a litlle underated.

He didnt say it was a Zo6, all he said was it was a stock 2002 corvette. Stock non Zo6s didnt come close to those numbers. Your it probly right that it was a Zo6, by the numbers he gave but he didnt say it was.

There is a 40-50 Hp difference at the rear wheels
Most LT1's average between 240-260 RWHP
Most LS1's average between 285-315 RWHP

some fresh info: been on the dyno today

1998 Z28 A4, stock ex. lid+filter, 3" Dynomax catback and HPP3.

Here in Germany, the measuring standards are a little different, so the stock engine is rated at 288 hp over here.

Mine dynoed today at 363.

Yes, the LS1 is underrated.

I dont think ur making 363 with ur mods. Either its a typo or u didnt list all ur mods.

no typo, and the mods are all there. but really, maybe it has to do with the measuring, german vs. us standards.
the chart is in KW, but the conversion to hp is correct: 100 kilowatt are 136 hp. 267 kw = 363 hp

honestly, i was stunned, too, but the shop is certified and out of doubt.

WOW. I thought this guy was off the mark by a mile when i read what type of numbers that RAM AIR can put up. The stock camaro ss has 325rwhp@5200 and 350rwt@4000 rpm. :dunno:

intake and exhaust are restrictive on the ls1 f-bodies, especially the z28. that's why first mods should concentrate on those areas. small effort = big gain
