Forza Motorsport Showdown!!! on Speed Channel

Wednesdays 11PM Eastern time, Forza Motorsport Showdown on Speed channel. I think they do reruns Saturday at 4PM Eastern in case you missed last one.

LG Motorsports is in too with the C6 vette. Btw… when I was at the shop last month they had the car#21 out in the parking lot, I took a few pics, and my car next to it… That’s the car that is on Speed Channel.

Kind of weird to see my mechanic guy on TV next to Lou Gigliotti the GT champ driver.

I saw the first episode and the LG team should win just cause of their car but probaly won't because of their driver. Props to the girl who never really raced a real car but was smashing in the mustang.

? I agree , that car could possibly be a high 11 car. There is a video somewhere of a c6 z06 running an 11:80 something , stock.
What about that guy running a 14 something with a 120 mph trap in the 69 Camaro.

its not a Z06. it is the best car tho. the driver is a tool. that asian drifter guy and the girl seem to be the best drivers. that Chick looks hot in that race suit.

the kid driving the vette is such a pain in the ass, arguing with Lou, the gt champ... he better streighten up or else he'll loose the races. he is overconfident and not experienced, not listening for advice much either. :shrug:

yeah, I dunno, I'm gonna ask those guys, I see them on Saturday anyways I have to swing by the shop, so I'll ask them if it was a fixed up thing, everybody was overheating left and right? wtf? just drive 80-90mi/hr for 10 minutes and you have 15 laps. hmmm.

I do feel like the ET numbers at the 2nd drag race were more realistic to the cars, low 12’s with sticky tires and N2O

well they have to make it intense somehow... the corvette is the clearly the best car on there. then its that supercharged mustang, and that asian guy is a pretty good driver.
i wouldnt be surprised if the show made the teams do something like that.

yea it is. i saw something that looked like a vortec SC under the hood at one of the mod days. it ran like mid to high 12's on the first drag day when it was so called "stock"

they did not know how to drive them at the strip, if you notice they lost .5 to .8 on the launch... the light went green they were still not moving for half a sec. I bet they floored it when they saw green. hehehhe

They were looking for ET only I’m guessing. With a pro tree, I would have a .5 to .8 RT also.

I think if the kid would have just eased into it with the vette instead of flooring it he could have pulled better times. Musn't have ever drag raced before. Everyone finds that out with street tires. It's just plain old hard to hook while letting the clutch fly with a car like that. He had the mph at the end of the track, I think it was 116.??. So with a good launch or just flat out better tires that vette would have just dominated that competition in my opinion.

:shrug: yeah, pretty messed up. on a side note, did you guys see Lou Gigliotti's race at the Sebring last month? he broke his rear-end when the back tires hit a slippery spot then a dry one, and that stress once it hit the dry spot broke it. ouch! I was just at their shop this past few days and talked to one of the mechanics there... bummer!

the inside info since I asked, the guys and girl drivers wanna beez were picked by Speed Channel guys, the LG Motorsports and other muscle cars folks had no say on picking their own... it would have been cool to see them pick their kick ass drivers and then take it to the track that way... :shrug:

good show in theory, but it fell flat because of the kids driving the cars. that asian dude was the only cool driver, but that's it. for god's sake he almost pulled better track timeslip vs a c6 modded with the 350z... come on!
