tranny breather hose/tube

i was upgrading my torque arm, and the transmision breather hose came loose and off......do i need to plug it back in?????where is the plug in?????what if i dont plug it back in??????

it's a one way valve. only lets fluid out and no dirt in. look near the top side of the trans and you'll find a small nipple.
