General Info to some common questions

In 01 and 02, some T/A received an LS6 block due to a casting shortage of LS1 blocks. SO if you are curious if you have an LS6 block, below the rear of the drivers side head is a block casting number. If the last 4 digits are 1168, then you've got an LS6 block

So do I have to remove the engine from the car to see if I got an LS6 block or not? I can't see nothing down there from under the hood.

Are there other ways to verify a car as a Genuine WS6? Any photos of the door sticker so I can know what to look for? Can I look at the suspension and tell? The car does have an aluminum drive shaft. Does that confirm it?

Any and all help would be appreciated. I tried to send 01WS6_4_ME a PM, but I don't see how to do that on this board. All I can do is send an email.

Fred, I haven't received anything from you. email me with your vin justin.fabiola@cox.net And, no u don't have to remove the engine, you just need a mirror. There's a thread explaining where to look, just do a search. It's on the back of the engine block.

define better ? 01-02 have a cam with more low end then ours.

Yes Paul and your ASC # is 1389 and your conversion date was Sept 8, 2000 for your A4 w/t-tops. That is all the info I have. Merry Christmas.

do i have a true ws6 my vin#2g2fv22g712136826 i have checked the vin b 4 but i want to be sure and i have another problem mine is an A4 and when i put it in 1st gear maunually and try to burnout the tires will turn a little bit then it will just stall up but if i leave it in drive and burnout i can burn the tire up i had my computer tuned and the torque management suppose to be deleted we programmed it twice but it still does the same thing it doesn't have the manual traction control switch either can anyone help me or tell what my problem might be
