Well, I've got a bright red 99 TA, and a bright red 93 Foxbody....all I need is a bright red sportbike, to set in the middle of em, and hold a bright red helmet :)
I'm a beginner, so nothing too big....any suggestions?

I'd say start out with a max of a 600CC. Alot of it depends on your personal taste. There's;
-Yamaha R6
-Honda CBR and VFR
-Suzuki GSXR 600
-Kawasaki Ninja ZX6
Not sure abuot the Gixxer and the Ninja, but I know there've been red Hondas and Yamahas made recently.
When I was looking for a bike I went to a few shops and sat on all the different bikes to get a feel for them and see what fit me best. I was decided on the R1. Trouble is the loan fell through. So I never got the bike, but I finally wound up with my LS1 Fbody so it's not a total loss.

Another good idea is to find a group of sport bike guys to ride with. I borrowed a buddy's bike in summer '03 and did some riding. It was alot more fun and always felt safer in a pack. It happens all the time. Motorcycle rider was injured or killed when car didn't see him/her... It's alot harder to miss a pack of 10-20 bikes. :yup:

Its all about them YZF-R6s, i had a 2003 Special Edition for 5 months and ended up laying it down at around 35-40 and it slid into a brick mailbox, breaking the frame on both sides, putting a quarter sized hole in the head, bent the front rim, broke the projectors, split the fairings off of it, and dented the gas tank in about 6 places. but im only 17 so what do i care? R6s are definitely the best handling 600 out there but there all so closely matched performance wise its comes down to the rider, so pick which one you like the most. not too mention, the 2006 R6 revs to 17,500 RPMs and has quiet a few MotoGP parts on it and is likely to have in the neighborhood of 135HP, which is crazy for a 600.

oh and it was my first bike, takes some balls to start out with a bike like that cuz she'll get up and go alot quicker than youll think. just be sure to have all your gear so you wont be a squid and ride with cut-off sleeve shirts and shorts.
