I want to lease a corvette. The car that I'm currently in was a quick fix by now I want to get into my dream car. I went to the dealership Friday and they said with 10k down, I'd be able to lease for 800$ a month. I pulled my credit last week and my three scores are 638, 675, and 650. I currently make 92k a year. Putting 10k down isn't the going to be a problem. Does anyone have experience in the car financing/leasing? I would like to know based off this info if I'd qualify, before I go to the dealership and have them pull my credit.

I'd think at $92k a year they would look past an average credit score and base it on your ability to perform, which shouldn't be a problem for you. 700 seems to be the mark for real good credit though.

Simply asking you a question. As in "Are you leasing a C6?" Is that phrased better for you?

If the C6 is your dream car do you want to keep it? If so then buying at the end of the lease period always costs a lot more than a straight purchase. Most Chevy dealers can get you 84 months financing on a Vette to help get the payments down. Play with the loan calculator on the GMbuypower.com website to compare a lease vs. straight finance. Use 6.95% interest for 72 months and 7.25% interest for 84 months in the calculations (which is for average credit with no issues). Shop the dealerships for the best deal, some even have credit union affiliations that they can put you in for a small membership fee.

$800 a month? For how many months? And what is the final negotiated price of the car? Your credit scores will affect the payment. I leased a 2003 Z06 for 5 years @600/month. The price of the car was $53,000 and i put $5,000 down. My credit score was 720. Most dealerships only look at one credit report and that is usually Equifax.
