Race tranny has heavy duty clutches 3000k stall Tq converter, limity slip dif and 3.29 gear.

I C. So just clutches and a converter. I guess when I hear "race tranny" I think of a transmission modified to the point that it isn't streetable, or is just barely streetable.

Yeah basically, clutch packs, hardened imput shaft, output shaft, chain and what not.

I recently looked up the stock top speed on the net and its said around 140 mph. The GTP was stock from what he said

That's exactly why I posted here. I figured a GTO with a vanity plate must be on some forum. To bad the windows were tinted dark, I wanted to see the look on his face as I creeped by him.

VERY nice kill and sweet gtp......i had one run close to me when i had my stock ( lid.borla) 99z28 6 speed.....i beat him but he was only about 2-3 car lengths back at 140mph in a 70-140 race

I think GTPs derserve more respect than what they get. They can be made into dast cars with a few mods
