01 Z28 Vs. Ford Fusion

on my way home from work a couple nights ago i pull out of the parking lot and im sittin at a red light and this white ford fusion pulls up next to me light turns green so we take off normally and around 20mph i see his car jump and take off so im like i got him at da next light, so we get to the next light and its red also same thing happens but im ready for him this time and when he takes off i punch it and reel him in w/ in a couple of seconds i let off when i get beside him i look down at my speedometer (going 45mph) and look at him, he looks bac and revs at me and trys to pull on me again so i give it a lil over half throttle and start pullin away from him and i shut down at 60mph he pulls into a gas station race is over....... by the way he pulled the first time at the 1st light i thought he would of been faster i guess not.

what probably happened was he just sold his like 120hp cavalier and now he has like a 200hp fusion and just cause its a little faster he thinks he is got the fastest thing on the street.

well isn't the fusion the same platform as the falcon in australia. I know some are awd, slap a turbo on on of them boys and it can get pretty wicked.

I'm just saying i've been to australia quite a few times and seen some wicked ass ones out there. I mean look at the kits aps makes for them. Nobody looks at the cars like that over here. I bet there are a few running around in the states though.

I have not looked into, i just went off of what i know, i'm no expert. They both may be based off the same platform. They just seem very similar to me, from what i've seen in person, just minor differences. I know they don't have the same power plants, but i thought the chasiss and drive train are the same. I'll look it up later.
