Hello all,

Let me start my story with a trip back in time. The year is 2000, I was a strapping young lad of 16 with a Pennsylvania drivers license and a love for anything with four wheels and an engine. My parents were going to help buy my first car and we looked forever for the right one. This all lead to the car that would spark my love for the F-body, my first car was a 1993 Firebird. Could you get much cooler at 16? Sure, it was a purple (plum was the actual color I think), automatic, V-6, reconstructed title, but who cares? It was cool, it was safe and it was cheap. I put over 50,000 miles on that car and it was the most reliable and one of the most fun cars I have ever owned.

Fast forward to today, I've just graduated from College, and I'm attending grad school. The purple Firebird of my youth is long gone and I'm driving a Audi A4 (which I've really fallen in love with too, but that's a different story). So why then, am I introducing myself on LS1.com? I'm introducing myself because I am the proud new owner of a 1998 Trans Am. My parents have again proven why they are the best with the second F-body gift they've given me, this time as a graduation present. The car is spectacular, black on black, ram air, 6 speed manual, only 65,000 miles, T-tops... everything I wanted. My parents have been looking for the right car for almost 7 months and they found a real winner.

I'm happy to be an F-body owner again and happy to be here, I have so many thoughts and questions and car stuff running through my head right now I don't know here to start, but I guess if someone could point me in the direction of the forum FAQ and search function that would be great.

Thank you,
Aaron Bryan

Two great gifts...awesome! Driving an F-body at 16 is a great experience. Reading your post brings back memories. I remember my time at 16 driving a new 1980 Turbo Trams Am Pace Car (Indy 500 & Daytona 500). Since then, I've had five F-bodies. Fun cars.

Glad to have you on board.
