Anyone know where to get or what to make a rollbar out of? I'm planning on running faster than a 13 and at Thundervalley you have to have a rollbar.. Any help on making one for my 99 trans am would be great.

I work at a machine shop and was wondering what size material should I use to make a rollbar? I figure we will see if we can make one with some metal at work, Was wondering if it needs to be 3/16" thick or heavier? Anyone that can help out thanks.. It will be welded in also, maybe.. We'll see.

I think NHRA rules say it should be at least .125" wall thickness for mild steel and .083 for cromoly.

Yea, 1/8" is very easy to come by.. It is probably what I'll use specially for price also, plus I think that's what we carry the most of.. What about OD sizes on that stuff? Maybe 2" or 2 1/4"? Thanks alot guys.

i find it weird he can't give you back your $100 + at least $100 for the bad motor, while he has a 99TA + 03R1, and $ to make his car faster
