about to install a comp cam 230/230 on a 114 with .591 lift. Springs, retainers, hardened pushrods, etc, also. Mods are Stainless Works headers, random tech flow thru cats and SW chamberred exhaust. Also, 160 stat, underdrive pullie. Car will get a good tune along with it. What do you think, can I break 400?

It will be very close, but if your just shy and that's your goal consider a ported and polished throttle body to top off your 400RWHP glass

Depending on the dyno, if it’s a mustang or dyno jet dyno, (mustang shows lower numbers.)
I would guess you might make 420rwhp, as long as you have a lid too, smooth bellow ported TB with the bump stop mod.
A 230/230 is an aggressive cam, more then likely being strong from 2000 to 7000 rpm, so you might choke out your heads to much which in turn will keep your hp low. Also I assume because of state emission testing, is why you opted for flow thru cats as opposed to and ORY and deleting the cat SES code (that could keep the hp low too)
Post your numbers though. It will be cool to see!

Well, I have a lid/filter along with a smooth bellows. The TB is stock but I did the coolant bypass. I think this is about as big a cam as you can go with stock heads, and I expect about 390-395. I really don't see 420, even on dyno jet, which it will be. I put the cats on it to get a slightly better sound, although I may put a striaght pipe back in at some point. I don't have to worry about emissions, it's ODBII scan here and I have LS1edit, so I can beat that, and as far as visual goes, my friends own a station and do my inspections, so no issue there. It's supposed to be dyno'ed on Sat, so I'll keep you posted.
