I'm already crossing the line at about 118mph with my stock 3.23. I plan on upgrading my rear end to a moser 12bolt and I want gear size that will help my quarter mile. However, I've heard from some people that if I go to large with my choice it will shift into fourth before the end of the quarter thus hurting my et. I was thinking 3.55 or 3.73?

just like they all said. 3.73 ....4.10's are mostly for m6s or a a4 thats all strip. keep with the 3.73 and you will see a world of difference in your acceleration.

i've had both the 4.10 and, currently, 3.73. unless you are going to go with at least a 28" tall tire and/or spin the motor to 7200+, i suggest the 3.73. with the 4.10 gears on the bottle, i was having to shift into 4th about 60ft before the traps. with the 3.73, i am going through right at 6300 rpms in 3rd.

Do you find any issues when driving on the highway with 3.73 gears? I tend to do a lot of 80+mph driving. Would you still recommend the 3.73 gears?

no issues really, just throws up the rpm higher so a gear higher..and your top speed drops like 5-10 mph..
