Like the title says. My fuel pressure drops at WOT from 60lbs to 45lbs and It's scarring the crap outta me so I want to see how to remedy this.

Mine:
60#morton Injectors
Walbro 255l intank pump
KB boost-a-pump
What else to i need? I am runnin about 13 to 14lbs of boost.
TIA
Mike

I hope I don't have the same problem. I am waiting for Racetronix's Rail Mounted Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Your regulator is most likely causing that drop. How is your AFR?

I never drop below 14 psi or much above that either.

Running 12 lbs of boost.

I would be afraid of getting a lean condition with loss of pressure. I would be careful with WOT until you remedy the fuel pressure situation.

My AFR is right around11.5

I was thinking about maybe putting in another fuel pump in the tank and a pressure regulator. I will check that out.

You might want to pull your pump out again and check the rubber fuel hose going to it. I had similar problems with my fuel pressure on my walbro 255 come to notice the hose was tearing in half and exploding. If you can get a hold of some real high pressure fuel hose swap it out. Some reason the hose they gave me with the kit lasted two weeks. Threw in a goodyear hose just to give me some time till I got some high pressure hose and that only last 2 weeks. At idle I would have 70psi at the rails but on the gas I would lose pressure.

I will tell you guys what I have in the making.
60 #'s Motron
2 255's walbro intanks
2 Aeroquip Socketless Hose Ends -6 AER-FBM1512
4 Aeroquip Socketless Hose Ends -8 AER-FBM1513
1 Earl's Performance Bulkhead Adapter Fittings EAR-983308ERL
1 Earl's Performance Bulkhead Nuts EAR-992408ERL
1 MagnaFlow Y Fittings MRF-MP-6286
1 Russell Aluminum Fuel Line Adapters (For the return from fuel rail.)
20 ft Summit Fuel Line Combination Kits -8 SUM-PUMPKIT3 (This might change if my stainless tubing comes in and I custom bend it to look like stock ;) )
4 ft of Summit Fuel Line -6 (For the intank Y block setup. You dont want to go cheap here. The cheap ass hoses they send with the pumps wont hold.)
Speed INC fuel rails
Speed Inc fuel filter
Speed INC fuel pressure reg with boost reference
Hot wire fuel pump kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-2002-LS1-Camaro-Firebird-Fuel-Pump-Hot-Wire-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33555QQitemZ7992821 932QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
Blocked off the T and removed the OEM fuel filter. This way you can use the old feed line as a return. This is not a cheap setup. This is all in all about $600 to $700. Not including the price of the injectors. But this would support 850 rwhp no prob. IMHO :yup:
And here is what inspired me to do this. http://www.cofba.org/users/smokinhawk/fuel.htm

That sounds like a great setup. I want some pics when you get done.

As long as your AFR is still 11.5 or anywhere in the 11s, you don't have to worry about your fuel pressure dropping. The AFR is what matters in the end.

True but it is nice to have more than enough fuel pressure. Just a peace of mind thing.

That is a very nice set up. What is the difference between the two pics other than a few things are located differently and what kind of boost r u running?

The biggest difference is how the fuel flows. The Tees did not allow fuel to flow down into the rails that well. The new setup makes the fuel flow linearly through both rails without any tees or splits before it hits the regulator. It has help dramatically fit fuel flow and fuel consitancy. I am running 15 psi of boost with a 402 CID and F1-R Procharger.

Nice job hiding the coils and plug wires. I cant find any of them. Where did you stick the 8 coils in that packed engine bay and why cant I see your plug wires?
