i'd be worried more on the unproperly mounted tires on stock rims.
Are you keeping stock shocks ? imho, you should get shocks that match that spring rate.
The typical issue you'll encounter is that you might have a hard time taking the bolts out of the top of the shock in the engine bay.

before mounting my BFG'S I called them and ask if there were any isues with mounting 315's on stock rims and they said no.The tires have been on the car over a year now with no wear problems at all.Although I am getting tired of the stock rims and plan on changing very soon to something else. But my concern was whether there would be any clearance problems on the inner fenderwell,or outer lip on the fender.thanks for your help.

I'm new to the site I'll get some pics up soon, but yea BFG said I was pushing it with the stock rims.I run about 30 psi and they seem to wearing fine,no handling problems either. But like i said I'll be changing rims soon so I'll definitley go with something larger.Sucks though not being able to rotate tires.BFG'S ain't cheap either. And when I decided to go that size there were not a whole lot of choices of tire mfg's.

who said that ?
315/35-17 are meant to be mounted on wheels that vary from 11-13" wide, while optimally mounted on 11.5" usually depending on manufacturer.
Not 1 single manufacturer will ever say that a 315 should be mounted on a 9" wheel.
Some ppl do it.. it mounts... yet, it's far from being properly mounted, and it actually hinders you in traction, compared to a 275/40-17 that would be properly mounted.
Take a look @ the tire and check how much it's buldging... it's not funny...
Don't get me wrong... i love wide tires... but do it right... get wider wheels.
heck, i have 315s on all 4 corners.

front... = plug and play w/ a 7/32" spacer (some use 1/4") and grinded a little nick sticking out on the spindle... kind of looks like an appendix... just in case (was very close)
rear... = had to center it properly, cut half the bumpstops, roll the fender, BFH-masssage therapies and that 's about it.

in the end... front = 5min, rear = way more time.
only regrets going wide on all 4 is not doing it earlier.
If you click on my avatar pic, you'll see a bigger shot... in that pic, i have the 17x11 on all 4 and also prokits.

i don't have the prokits anymore due to personale preference... they are great springs and much better than BMR one... which are too progressive and will make it hard to have the shocks work nicely on them... better off w/ prokits.
the reason i sold my prokits, i decided to go coil-overs and get higher spring rates.

Also note that although my rear doesn't sag, it's also a convertible w/ a rollbar which is heavier than a hardtop.
