well the headers are on and the job is done!

i did the install by myself in about 12hrs.
i also did new plugs and removed the a.i.r system.
installed from the top on jack stands.
although im sure they are much easier to install
from the bottom!

these headers are a PAIN in the ass to install.... sorry to say that but they are., if anyone needs details of the install feel free to PM me. i think the quality was good but my main problem is the header final fitment on the drivers side.
im hitting a little on the bell housing and the steering linkage.
the pass. side fits great! and the x-pipe bolted on EASY and everything lined up PERFECT.

quality- 10
price - 10
fitment- 7
ease of install- 6

overall score for the kit is an 8.

i just got done doing a shake down run and they sound GREAT! i can also feal a nice gain the butt dyno.... ill post up REAL numbers when i get them. but id say at least 25rwhp after tuning.

oh and the weight diff. is...........................................

stock set-up was around 70lbs.
TSP kit was around 50lbs.
and the a.i.r. system in total was 7 pounds.

so 27 less pounds and 20+ more HP sounds like a hell of a deal for $750.00

I just installed my TSP header kit, too ('01 Z06). They are a pain to install, and there was some fabricating/extra work involved. My only fitment issue was that the 'criss-crossed' oxygen sensors are now touching each other.
I used a mechanic friend's frame hoist and the headers will NOT install from the bottom, but it really helped with all the required work and the remaining exhaust system's alignment and fitting. I can't imagine doing all that, laying on my back--UGH!
I drove the car home, 10 MPH sideways in the snow, so I have yet to 'feel' the new power increase.
I have B&B Route 66 exhaust, it sounds a little flat at idle.
They are definitely worth $750, though, in my opinion.

i agree on everything.....

the question is the extra work worth the money saved?
id say yea.
