The ZO6 has the LS6 engine and is rated at 405HP beginning in 2002.
It has the LS6 intake, larger cam larger cc heads, bottom end of engine is stronger and the Ti exhaust cat back system. All came with the M6 tranny and a 3:42 differential with shot peened gears and stronger axles.

C5's are either couples, or convertibles, automatic or manual tranny.
Z06 are all fixed roof coupe (hard top) they're all manual. and they weight significantly less than the regular C5. Also, the front and rear tires are different sizes than the C5. Z06: 265/40/17 front, rear 295/35/18
They have rear brakes air ducts, as well as in the front. No fog lights like the C5

All 2001 and up Corvettes have the same intake.

The M6 trans is the standard trans, the Z06 has the M12 (Wider ratio) trans.

The body style (Hardtop) was available in 99 & 00 with limited exterior colors and any interior color as long as it was black. The hardtop is lighter than the Coupe or Vert.

I don't know about the stronger axles, but I don't think so.

Didn't the Z06 have thinner windows/windshield for 'weight saving" or something? oh, and different suspension?
And I think the early ones were rated at 385 hp.

The 01 Z06 was rated 385, 02-04 were 405. I don't know about the glass.

The spring rates were slightly higher and I think the rear sway bar was a little bigger that Z-51 cars.

Great answers, and they also have a Z06 specific gauge panel.

Yeah it does. The 2002+ is standard HUD, spun cast wheels (making them lighter), the lighter valves, stiffer springs, and different cam profile than the 2001. The 2002+ cars also came with descreened MAF's stock.

starting in 2001 the z06 came with the ls6 rated at 385hp then in 02 405hp. the windows were shaved on the z06 to save weight. like 4 lbs i think.
