I had a python responder installed today and am wondering if anyone has any problems with the alarm or the way it works. Because I have t-tops, the installer said he had to put a double pulse on the unlock. He said he had to do this to bypass GM's factory program that locks out the electronic unlocking on t-top cars...I guess to stop people from reaching in when the tops are off  Now when i shut the car off, the radio shuts off right away and the reminder beep to take the key out goes off before I even open the door. Anyone have this problem?

when you turn the ignition off and the door is closed...does it beep for you to take the key out? Right now when I turn the ignition off, before I open the door, it beeps for me to take the key out and the radio shuts off like it does when you open the door. Also all the lights come on

I installed a viper 791 on my 02 camaro ss. Anyways - to get the doors to lock and unlock properly - I had to used two relays - nothing else. When I shut the car off, lock the doors and wait inside - the doors will not be able to unlock. If yours is doing that - everything is good.

Anyways - with regards to your above problem - it's happening because in order to get the interior lights on - the alarm (install) is simulating that the doors are open. Hence the reason why the reminder noise is coming on.

Note: While I can't be sure what's happening with your alarm - this is what I'm guessing. Also note - this also happenings to mine. I used Viper's (Direct) notes to install the alarm.

Hope this helps.
