This is the set-up I use which is a stand alone also and pretty user friendly.

I think we're nailed.
After a while you come to realize that most advice here is given from opinion rather than experience.

For instance, I own a wideband innovate LM-1 and LMA-2 but have yet to install it so I'm interested in this thread. I can tell you how good the LM1 is and all about its features but NOT tell you that I haven't actually used it. It will look like my post is authoritative but in reality it comes down to what you have said; I'd be FOS. Like in IRobot, you asked the right question.

so, basically, you think they'd rip you off completely? sell you something that isn't what it says it is? dynotune has a pretty good rep around the net.

amazing what you can find on google
in this one, there is a link to view the manual in PDF format.

maybe i'm missing what you are trying to ask by is it a stand alone? i see, sensor, cable, and a gauge. the instructions say it's already set up to read as a wideband. so, hook it all up and off you go.
