I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and I need to replace the clutch. The only mods I have done to the car are headers, intake, exhaust, air lid, and do not plan on any more motor mods. From reading posts on forums I have decided on the LS7 clutch and the updated hydralics. My question is regarding the flywheel. I know that I have to get a LS2/LS7 flywheel and I was wondering if a billet steel one would be worth the money and if it would work on my car. The one i saw was listed under the 6th gen Corvette. I just want to make sure before I order the part. Thanks in advance.

Not too too sure about the flywheel, but the clutch, I have a SPEC stage 3. Havent had any problems with it at all. They are the best bang for the buck. But the LS7 would probably fit you since you said that you are not looking to do any more engine mods. If you are considering down the road to go further, I would get the SPEC while you can. I would go no more than stage 2 for you. 3 is borderline street/strip use, 4 is pretty much track use only, and 5 is either engaged or not. No throttling at all
