This is an in-car camera with a little acceleration threw 2nd gear. It sounds pretty mean from the inside.

he probably wanted to do the same...but the concept supposedly has an electronic governer that kicks in at 40 mph..which i think is weak

I just hope that was the "Factory Exhaust", not concept exhaust. It did sound good for minor exceleration

u can put $1000 down payment on one now. there have been a bunch of people doing that at my dealership with the camaros and the corvette SS/stingray (whatever its gonna be called).

Remember, if you have ever been in your own car and recorded your car with a camcorder, how the exhaust sounds. Anyway, I am guessing that will definitely NOT be how the factory exhaust sounds. We all know how conservative GM is with the exhaust. It does sound great, tho.

if they did that you could take them to court. you basically sign a contract saying you will buy the vehicle when it comes out.

its there to protect you and its to protect them in case u want to back out of the deal.......i think. dont quote me on it tho

Very doubtful.

The Feds have all kinds of regulations regarding exhaust noise levels, and I seriously doubt thats exhaust would pass their decibel level requirements, especially under wide open throttle.

Cool video though, thats thing does sound awesome :)

u can put $1000 down payment on one now. there have been a bunch of people doing that at my dealership with the camaros and the corvette SS/stingray (whatever its gonna be called).

I think i saw in a new mag that it is going to be a corvette SS

Sounds good and looks good. If I decide to come back to GM for a new car, I will definately wait for the second year car. Who knows what kind of kinks they will have to work out. The dealer here said they are taking deposits but I don't trust anyone there.

The new MARO looks cool and sound's good.. By the time this thing comes out i'm gonna be blowing them out the water..

And the "SS VETT" looks good too... but will it hookup..:thinkin: the LS-7 hardly even hooksup.. and with a supercharger.. Look out:cry:

I'm sure they'll have some beefy tires out back to help put the power to the ground. Probably like 335's or something, and I'm sure they'll be top grade, probably Eagle F1 Supercars or something along those lines. Combine that with a world class suspension setup, limited slip diff, and super tall gear ratios (1st gear in the Z06 tops out at 60MPH) and it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

It is anoying how every damn chevy vehicle has an SS version. It doesnt have any respect anymore. Its kinda like dodge throws SRT on everything.

Its suppose to have the LS-2 6.0L.. But its no the same version of the GTO its the calldalic LS-2 with 408hp...

The Z06 and Viper have massive wheels and they do just fine.

You have to remember, much of the size of the wheels is offset by the low profile tires, so the overall diameter of the wheel/tire isn't as large as you'd think.

Well I think they're shooting for ~3500lbs, so with the 400HP LS2 and T56, I'd say mid-high 12's bone stock, so like ~12.7, provided you can get traction.

I'm not totally convinced that IRS is our friend yet, I'll reserve that judgement for when the reviews come out and I actually have a change to drive one :thinkin:

yeah.. i was kind of thinkin that too... if they kept the weight down.. I like the look on them.. but I think they need some options on the grill and bumper in the back.. I think it looks more like a vett from the back.. Do you think you will trade your F-body for that..?? :stuck:

If it comes out looking like the concept (or better), has the LS2 and a 6speed, and a damn nice interior like the concept, I'd definitely consider it depending on the price, ect.

I think that the shifter looked retarded!!! It isn't a friggin spaceship. I also think the 21" and 22" wheels are a little much. Other than that it is pretty cool. It's nothing compared to the 69 (as far as looks go)

Its the concept shifter.

I'm sure the production version will have a regular shift stick, probably with a boot as well.

Where did you hear that??

The concept had the 6.0 LS2 in it as far as I know, and that should be in the production version as well. Lesser models may come with a V6 or 5.3, though.

yeah, I heard the same thing. Do you know if they are going to change the body style at all? It looks ok but it needs a little fine tuning. Need some grill work.

I heard they're gonna raise the roof some, since there's practically no head room. a 5' 7" guy is a tight squeeze.
