Got one of these from Afterthoughts Auto (site sponsor) for Xmas.. MAN I wish I had gotten one of these sooner. If you do any highway traveling, I'd highly recommend one. Cut down at least half of the turbulance with the top and windows down. With the windows up its comparable to a sunroof without the buffeting.

Lots of mods, nothing Major.
STB, SFC, Lid, Bellows, K&N, Ported TB, TB Bypass, TB bumpstop, FRA, Dynomouth, custom 170 stat, HPP3.. and all the free mods.
Which vents are you refering to?? I modded the front ones with aluminum mesh and the AC vents I painted them, fin by fin.

Its not too hard, just a PITA to paint each single fin as you go along. I didnt paint the outside (horrizontal) ones, just the inside (vertical) ones. Putting them back together may be the hardest part because the paint wants to smudge as you pop them back into place.

Love the Windstop. Of everything I have done, it's probably one the single best mods I've added to the 'vert. And the people at Afterthoughts are awesome to deal with. Enjoy!

Forgot to ask... did you put the locks on there? There is a mod you can do to the Windstop to prevent the latches from accidently coming undone due to vibration and losing your Windstop to the wind... literally... or having someone walk off with it. I'll see if I can find the post on it for ya.
Here it is. This is off of another board, but worth repeating.
I used some black masterlock luggage locks and just keep the key on my keyring. Also, as my latches extend past the latching points when on the car, I marked the latch positions while it was installed, then went about the insructions, only extending the latches as far as they would go when in the car. Makes for a tighter fit.
My main concern though is the Windstop flying off the SS on the highway. There is an easy fix for this. Lay the Windstop on the floor upside down and move the metal sliders all the way out to the 'latched' position. Drill a small hole in the center of the slider beside the plastic bracket that holds the slider down. Now, take the four screws out of the plastic cap and remove the slider. Using a larger drill than you used to drill the hole, clean up the metal burrs that were left from the initial drilling. Now replace the slider and the plastic cap. Repeat procedure for the other slider. Your local hardware store should sell small locks that will fit the holes that you have just drilled. I got two locks that were sold as a set that are keyed alike.

Yeah, I had seen that before.. but I couldnt find it. Thanks for reposting it! Your car is what inspired me to put it on my wish list :) Whenever I get some free time I'm definatly going to do that.
I'll second the fact Afterthoughts Auto has some extremely great customer service reps. My windstop was missing one small piece with it and they're getting me one without any struggle. Plus they're just really polite and cool to deal with!

nice touch on the vents... matches with the guages quite nicely. Going to Winter Nationals in Old town, next month?
