Not everyone gets them. GM didn't issue one to my 01 SS, but they still fixed the cats for me. Saved me money and got rid of the ses light.:)

I just got one a couple weeks ago. I took my car out the same day after it was sitting for a long time and the SES light came on. Maybe that's why. Pretty wierd coincidence if it is. I think I'm going to try to do a top-end clean first if I do have to get them replaced.

I got two of them, one for my 02 SS and one for my 01 TA WS6, I think if something is not right, they ought to fix it without sending this BS:brick:

not all f-bods are having the problem. they are fixing it..and how would you know about it if they didnt send you something telling you ?

Different converters, switched manufacturer? Cats have been covered under the 8yr/80K federal emissions warranty for quite a while now.
