A friend of mine just had his car dynoed on a mustang and they inflated the numbers to 'match' a dynojet. My question is they are filling his head with way inflated numbers like I think?? His car was 39x on the mustang and they equated that to 456 on a dynojet. Poor guy has a great setup but the numbers just aren't making sense.

First things first....Dynos are tuning devices. Numbers really mean very little in the racing world.

Second...those do seem bloated. The difference I have personally seen is this...0% to 8%. It really depends on conditions and the settings the Mustang dyno has entered.

I have seen a Firehawk lay down 326 RWHP on a Mustang and on a DynoJet. Stock with a tune. Nothing ever changed.

I 100% agree with them being tuning devices.

This is a local guy that has this dyno and I just don't see why he is blowing up the number. Filling this kids head with 'highest cam number in Texas' and stuff of that nature.

He ran another Camaro the other night (before the tune/dyno) and got stomped, said his car was not running right. Went out to get this tune and says the car is making about 40-50 more HP now and he is ready to run again. Both beat up on this Cobra that supposedly had some work done so everyone wanted to see the Camaros run. I just dunno.

The car has a T-rex cam, Fast 90/90 combo, L/T headers and 4.10s. Running with no tune at first, hard to believe.....
