indash tv problems

is it possible to put a double din indash tv in my trans am

I have a jensen 7'' flip out. I don't think you can fit a double din in there.

how much money and skill do you have... its been done... dont know the link to the thread or even what forum its on... it requires fiberglass work and no telling what other fab work... your best bet since you have a cg hole is to either go with a flip up, avx2 (jvc makes it i think.... might be alpine), or a din size player with a remote screen...

if it were me and i just had to have it... and didnt want the small screen on the avx then i would prolly do a din and mount a screen to the passenger side of the center dash area... and i would take out my air bag (i would say disable, but the last thing you want is to smash a screen into someones face)... if i was gonna do it in the vetter and relocating the ac controls wasnt an option i would put the screen in where the air bag is on the passenger side...

not the cleanest install ever, but its the price you pay to have dvds...

I have seen it done where the ac/heater controls are re located to where the tcs switch and lighter is, and then there is more room to add another unit in there or to mount a screen right into the dash... you would need to be pretty skilled to pull it off though
