I saw it tonight... wasn't me... but he sure kicked the shit out of this other guys SS... granted it was an LT1... but still... HOW?!?!?!

I doubt a SVT focus could take out a SS not even a LT1 SS. I had a 97 SS bought it with 40000 miles took it to the track and hit a 13.30 (SS had shorthy headers and gears)on street tires. Maybe the SS didnt know he was racing >: )

Maybe it was a 4.6 Liter conversion Focus. I have seen many of those in my neck of the woods

yeah, something was not right. An svt focus is supremely slow.
I can beat one driving in reverse.
I beat one in a 1996 pontiac grand am with a dying transmission. They suck, bad.

dude the camaro driver must have been a dee dee dee.......
Those specs are optimistic, thing is more like a 17 second quarter mile car.
ONe kept cutting me off and he got in front of me, he took off burning a little bit of rubber from a red light, i only half throttled it and dusted his ass.

Supercharged they put down around 200......thats it.........slow......i'd rather have a whipple on a geo metro.

I saw the title of this thread and laughed my ass off!
Even if it was a V6 w/ SS badges he'd still destroy the SVT.
I came across one and there was no difference in it's performance compared to a regular ZX3 or whatever they are...

Must have a lot of money in the focus...or the lt1 wasn't racing. With my auto shifting at 2000rpms sometimes people think i'm on it...mostly because they're ignorant and don't know what a v8 sounds like at WOT.

my friend has it on tape and the SVT was blown ... the LT1 must have just missed a shift .. or two .. maybe even 3 ... who knows

unless the focus had a v-8 that is very rare evenly heavily modded those pzev engines don't cut it.

my brother has an 03 SVT foucs (6 speed) with a tune, and it can't even come close to touching my 98 SS. I can mess with him like there's no tomorrow. His best time was something around 15.3 or something....SLOW! It's fun to drive and fast for a 4 banger but it ain't no camaro! So yeah that focus you saw was either heavily modified or the camaro wasn't even trying.

Actually MB is pretty big, I dont go buy fastest car in school (becasue I would be the 2nd fastest altho i beat the fastest car the other nite hehe) But when we have gatherings or something we would have a few ricers with titles suchs as fastest of dunbar lol

Everyone else who lives on my street are old people with economy cars, so I guess I can claim the fastest, and second fastest of Simpson Ave. with my stock T/A and my lightly modded Titan. Hell, I'd be willing to take a shot at third with the wife's beater SC2.
