what would be better for a firebird with a 305? im about to put an 89 trans am rear end on and havent really made up my mind on gearing? any suggestions?

depends on current/future mods, what you are looking for. What are you trying to do with the car? Daily Driver? What trans? Ratios?. Sorry, not enough info to make a recommendation

it has a 350 transie and hope to stroke it out to a 383. it will pretty much be a daily driver when weather is nice.

If you're runnin a TH-350 trans, then you're gonna want about a 3.55 at the lowest, considering those aren't overdrive units. You'll tach over 3000 rpm at 60 with 3.91s, more still with 4.10s.
