Hello, I just got a 2002 SS convertible, sunset orange with 12,500 miles. The car came with 6 speed, SLP-chrome five spokes, CME, keyfobs, dash plaque and prem. deck mat. The car has zero mods on it as of right now! Thanks for all the helpfull info on LS1.com Cam

Gonna try and get some pics posted in the next day or so. Any sug. on the fist bolt on mod.? What will make the most gain?

start off with an aftermarket air box lid, get whichever is on sale/cheapest price from one of the sponsors on the site.
also get sub frame connectors to start.

Congrats on the SOM! you got lucky its a very rare color. try and get those pics up...oh... and first mod should be lid or exhaust:yup:

definitely post pics...love that color...are you planning on keeping it as a weekend cruiser or d.d. or modding it for racing or what? either way, id suggest against welding SFC's so that you can always go back to stock at some point, especially on a beaut like that. Lid is a great first mod that you will be able to feel the difference and get a resistor (25 cents) or SLP/MTI module (25 bucks) to deactivate the skip shift and maybe a loudmouth welded in so you can keep those CME tips!

Great choice in color, you'll love it more and more as you get used to it. Go with a lid and maybe add a Magnaflow Muffler for some sound and a lil hp. Also get one of those 25.00 ebay short sticks.
Btw I think you have like 1 of 41 SOM SS vert 6 speeds for that year, congrats again.

It will be a weekend cruiser, and I dont want to do anything that cant be returned to stock. Awsome car, looks realy good with those wheels. My car has the black top and ebony ent.
