I have a c5 corvette and am looking for some loud exhaust for it...do you guys have any recommendations? So far I like the B&B & the SLP...what are your thoughts and who has the best prices?

I had custom 3" pipes installed and fabricated from the flange behind the H-pipe--which I replaced with an X pipe and came out the back with two--3 " chrome 12" long old school pipes--The only mufflers I used were Shoenfeld insert race baffles that I had spot welded just inside the chrome pipes---It sounds totally Hot------The 3" pipes give it a deep growl--With my baby cam in the 220's it really has that old school poketa poketa poketa sound which is what i was looing for--- oh yeah--total cost for fabbing the pipes and baffles-$200

granatelli has that new set up they came out with. the sound on the video was great and from what it looks like, it's a sintch to install

I actually ordered that system this morning so I will let you know how it sounds when it comes in next week....I liked the way it sounded on the video too and figured if it wasn't loud enough I could always just remove the muff and put in a new pipe in it's place...

:yup: that or just dump the exhuast before the axle..but personally, i'd put some elect. cutouts on, so you can have loud, or quieter.

Yeah I have a prostreet Camaro that is dumped and it is great except for the exhaust smell that comes up through the car so I really wanted this to exit the back with the 4 round tips just like it is only louder and the granatelli system seemed like the best for the price...I'll let you guys know how it sounds, heck I will probably even post a sound clip for you when she's done.

The BORLA straight pipes are cheap and loud. The SLP is LOUD! I now have the BORLA Stingers and they are nice, and they are not loud compared to the others I listed!

Correct me if I am wrong but the stingers are 409 stainless and our systems are all polished 304. 304 stainless is head and shoulder more durable the 409. 409 is soft. Our prices are better as well:seesaw:

best bang for your buck is a cutout, about 200 bucks and you can have it as loud as you want or as quiet as stock with the press of a button! Or better yet, get longtubes and two of them like me =)

Perhaps - but that is not what I was trying to get across. 304 is much better then 409 and usually alot more money. When you can buy 304 for the same or less then 409 that is like getting a Z28 and paying for a 6 cyclinder
