Quick question for all....I have an 83' Hurst Old's cutlass that I want to do an engine swap too. I want to plant an LS1 into the car, but retain the freshly rebuilt 200-4r tranny. My question is will this tranny bolt up to the back of an LS1 engine? If so, is there anyone out there that has done this with an LS1? I'd like some details, suggestions, or web site links that could help me out. I want to keep the 200-4R if possible, simply because of the additional required changes to the car to go with another tranny. Email me off list if you prefer: gary@streetsmartclassics.com
Thanks in advance,
Gary

Good news is that you can use the tranny, bad news is you need a custom built converter for your application. Give PI or Yank a call, might as well go with one of the best.

There has to be a pre-made converter out there... I mean with the popularity of the GM G bodies and LS1's....
I dunno.. but someone has to make one.
