Well When I am letting off the Clutch and puting strain on it like from a stop or more so on a hill is when it happens no other time do I hear anything...... Oyea new be here to the site............ I just can't explaine It is almost one you would have to hear.. I am thinking it might be the release bearing but I just don't know ........ and if that is the case should I go ahead and replace the whole damn clutch and all that??????
Thanks

i really dont know for sure but the corvettes have a sound when their taking off, but the corvette mechanic i know asked a corvette engineer at the plant how to fix it and he said that its normal. they say to add more differential fluid to get rid of the sound.
i dont know if this applys to f-bodys but since they share the same driveline as corvettes, i would guess they have the same sounds

I Don't think they share the same differential though.

i think i have heard people talking about switching to synthetic rear end fluid and it stopping rear end noise.

I think i may have the same issue with mine. It started after i put in the slp bolt in frame ties (them welded in) Me guessing it is the rear control arms but this also may only be in my case... loose front bolt. My car just turned 16k before winter.

yeah mine does it 2. its not a grind, shit its just like a hmmmm noise that goes on for like 2sec. when taking off from a stop. I thought it was normal.

Mine does it as well, but only when it's cold. Once all the fluids heat up I don't notice it anymore.
