First alittle about my car. Its a 2000 ws6, only used during the spring/ summer months and see's NO rain. Maybe washed once a year in the spring. So you see I like to use a good detailer and pretty much all I use all season(1-3 a week) except for waxing.

Here are the one's I've used to date. From the one I like the least to the better.......I don't really look at durability in a detailer but your opinions are welcome.
-------------------------
Meguiars Mist and Wipe quik detailer.

Excellent spray bottle..Very very fine mist..

Does'nt wipe off smooth for me. Meaning the towel does'nt glide well.

Shine is ok....
Really don't care for this one to much except for the sprayer...
------------------
Eagle one Wipe and shine.

Spray bottle is ok.

Wipes off nice. Used it once as a WAUD and works this way well too.

Shine is good.
----------------
The next two are my favorites so far.

Zaino Z6
NXT speed detailer

Sprayer's on both of these bite imo....Very course, all most like spitting it on.( I save the empty meguiars sprayers to put other people's product in...:D )

Shine is great on both, wipe's off very nice and leave's the surface very smooth.

Tell me what you guys have used ,,,,, liked and don't like. Maybe somthing else I should be trying..

What do you normally use, wax ot sealant?
The Z6 is a good detailer, perhaps works better with Zaino products.
There are a few good ones there. I have tried Adam's QD is pretty good. It's somewhat tricky to apply, but otherwise a good product.
NXT Spray Wax is alright, especially for car shows. You have to let it haze a bit before removing.
And I have also tried Liquid Gloss more on this at the bottom page...

I go to a lot of detailing forums, and I have been able to zero in on some products I plan on buying in the future:
If you're using a paint sealant these are the ones being highly recommended, again, I haven't tried these products yet, I'm just going by the good reviews I've read, and I will most likely give it a try myself this Summer:

For Paint Sealants:

Acrylic Jett (http://www.jeffswerkstatt.com/acrylic-jett-trigger.php)
in combination with:
Acrylic Glos (http://www.jeffswerkstatt.com/acrylic-glos.php)

This one from Chemical Guys...
Extreme Slick Synthetic -Acrylic Polymer Detailer (Anti-Static) (http://www.chemicalguys.com/Waterless_Car_wash_p/wac_116.htm)
Those are as far as durability the most recommended ones.

For Waxes:

Quick Shine (http://www.specialtymotoring.com/clearkote.htm)

This is one that is drawing a lot of raves in detailing forums.
Duragloss AW (Aquawax) (http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=272)
Available locally; HERE (http://www.duragloss.com/duragloss-stores.asp)
I'm sure there are others that can chime in on their preferences and personal experiences.

Oh, and perhaps the one I like the best (I've got a sample of this one) because is really awesome, and very versatile is:
Liquid Gloss (http://detailingdynamics.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=DDOS&Product_Code=DyNA1004&Category_Code=DC) I've talked to the guys at the store in California, and they were very helpful. They are in the high-end detailing business for cars that I would never be able to afford. Great products
I'll be re-ordering some more since I've ran out of it.

What are you using to wipe the meguiars quick detailer? Microfiber towels work great with there stuff.

I use solely Z6. and Z8 (only before shows and every great once in awhile) and apply with DF concourse microfiber towels.

My dad uses the megs on his vette, it seems to work ok but i need to get him some Z6.

Zaino products need a orbitor or can they be applied by hand?

Zaino products need a orbitor or can they be applied by hand? They're meant to be used by hand. Their "cleaner/polish" product is called ZPC and it's best when used with a buffer.

I've had great luck with Mother's, Meguire's, and the Turtle Wax Ice detailer. Always use microfiber, and frequently only new microfiber. I'll use a microfiber towel once, then it becomes a B-level towel for engine bay, wheels, interior etc. Maybe my wash cycles are too rough, but they always come out a little worn.

I use Finish Fast from LiquiTech--it's great and you can use it in direct sunlight!

I'll try to touch on all the replys above..........

I use either Z2 or Nxt sealents but do not mix the two. Meaning that I do not alternate the two. Either one or other.

I do use MF's. Walmart brand :ar: I know.......but I do have good luck with these...

Z8's good but could'nt see much of a difference from Z6.

Sorry but just never impressed with Meguiars Mist and Wipe quik detailer. Did a side by side comparison with some of the others and could" feel" a fair difference with
the towel I was using..

Some I have'nt tried that was mentioned above is

Finish Fast from LiquiTech
Turtle Wax Ice detailer
Duragloss AW (Aquawax)
Adam's QD

You guys seem to have some very good advice and giving me something to think about....

Just looking for something new to try.. aka..Magic potion :yup:

Meguire's Quick Detailer and Turtle Wax Ice Detailer with a clean microfiber towel work fine for me. Remember, a detailer is only meant to remove surface dust and add some gloss without scratching. If your finish doesn't feel smooth after using it, perhaps your paint needs a good claying and cleaning with a fresh application of whatever wax/protectant you normally use. :burnout:

Yea maybe I'm not giving Meguire's Quick Detailer a fair chance cause I'm using it over a sealant.

As far as prep goes the finish is as good as you're going to see.

It is fun to see what everyone else is using though.
Good to hear diffrent opinions . Lots I'd like to try yet.

I've used the Meguiars detailer spray but use Z6/Z8 with my DF Towel for the most part.

Come to think of it I think I did use the Mothers detailer....the one that comes with the clay bar. Was'nt to bad in fact pretty nice but yea the sprayer did bite.

Not trying to make a big thing out of the sprayer but I think it makes a big difference on how the detailer apply's and come's off............:seesaw:
