I have a 2002 SS, which all my suspension on it is factory. What kind of improvements in performance can I expect with replacing the factory stamped steel control arms with aftermarket tubular control arms?

Well i know for a fact that they flex less, which gives u better overall traction.

You'll be able to accelerate off the line harder due to the power being sent to the rear wheels faster.

Take a look at this link, (http://www.camaroz28.com/articles/jmbushing/) it will help shed some light on pros and cons of lower control arms.

I noticed no difference after installing my Spohn tubular control arms except for more squeeking.

helps with cornering and keeping the tires planted under acceleration.

I believe he's talking about the front suspension control arms, not the trailing arms in the rear.
So basically they would decrease unspring weight, offer better handling, and less flex.
