what head unit? the wire usually goes to ground side of the switch. check the instructions for the unit.

it is a dual 8181. i grounded the parke brake wire to the chassis and found the factory codes to diable it. thanks!

i installed a switch with mine, i took the lead for the parking brake and branched off a wire from the amp relay, when you want it to play dvd's you flip the switch on.

i was going to use a switch, i got a lot of little ones laying around, but after i put in the factory disable codes, i didnt need to, so turned out to be much easier and i dont have to deal with the switch. thanks though!

Just pull the brake up or down one click. this way the brakes dont engage but the headunit will read that it is on.
