i have a 99 trans am and want to put a new set of rims on it. i am leaning towards 17" torq thrust IIs. i know the largest tire that fits on the rear is a 315 but what is the largest that fits on the front. I want to have the largest set of 4 tires(all the same size) that is able to fit on the TA. Also, if i get such large tires/rims will i have a problem lowering the suspension? Any suspension suggestions? is there a certain distance which will be too much of a drop and cause interference? lastly, are there andy suspsnsion kits which are too low and cause the headers and y pipe to scrape?

ive heard of ppl putting 315s on the front but i dont know whats involved.......just put 275s or 285s at all 4 corners...if your looking for traction just get some real sticky 275s at all 4 corners ...285s fit all around but theres not as much for tire choices

I don't think width matters as much as "stickiness" as previously stated. go w/ the 275's save the weight and keep a somewhat sleeper look.
